Gluten-Free St Croix Restaurants

 

Traveling and maintaining a gluten-free diet can be a challenge. As someone who follows a strict gluten-free diet for health reasons, I know the stress that can be involved. So, I’ve listed below some of the spots that I frequent and either offer well-marked gluten-free items on the menu or have staff that are friendly and knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and allergies. 

You’ll also be pleasantly surprised to find that many St Croix grocery stores offer an excellent array of gluten-free items as well.

Of course, you should always check and recheck carefully for your own health. These are current recommendations, note that conditions and staff can change.

El Leon Restaurant

El Leon is a contemporary Mexican restaurant located on the boardwalk at the King Christian Hotel. With open-air views of Christiansted Harbor and a modern exquisitely detailed Mexican atmosphere, El Leon Restaurant opened in October 2022 is a welcome addition to the boardwalk. The menu features contemporary takes on traditional Mexican fare including tacos, tiraditos, and more. They also have a well-stocked bar with a fine selection of tequilas and other spirits. Hang out by the pool at the King Christian Hotel with a pool pass ($20) and a margarita from the El Leon walk-up bar!
